SEPTEMBER MINISTRY REPORT FOR LAWSON SAMPSON - NIGERIA

Grace and peace be multiplied to each of you in abundance in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

If you notice it has been quite a while since you have received my newsletter as regards to me, my family, mission trips, outreaches and other ministries activities. Please, I apologize for my irregular updates to each of you. It is due to the fact that I have been very busy with the Lord’s work, traveling on mission trips etc, and though your prayers for me and your support for me, my family and my ministry are always felt deep down in me on a daily basis, without which I would not be able to effectively function in the work of His kingdom. It is my prayer that the Lord Almighty will bless each of you extraordinarily in Jesus name. Amen.

Please let me take your memory back on things that the Lord has accomplished through us in our lives and ministries from last April 2007.

Brother Bernie Bitter visited from South Africa in April 2007 for sports ministry seminar. We were taught how to evangelize effectively through sports ministry, organize kid’s games, and other sports outreaches. We were all blessed by his visit because the Lord used him mightily during this time. We praise the Lord for it!

In May 2007. We had a four-day revival program at church called, “Strengthening the church.” Our guest ministers were two missionaries couples based in Kenya namely Boyd Dennis 68 years of age and Marie Dennis 70 years of age. Both of them were used my God powerfully through their teachings and all those who attended the events were touched by the Holy Spirit and we were all strengthen physically, spiritually. We praise the Lord for it as well!

In July 2007. I, by His grace, traveled to Accra Ghana for a missions trip. I was invited to minister in different churches, share the vision of sports evangelism with the churches, meet with our ISC regional convener to discuss CAN 2008 and to be among a groups of ministers from the USA who came into Accra Ghana to launch a Pastors’ Network there. Ministers were ordained during this after series of teachings on what the role of a minister should be, and who they represent as ministers. I ministered in different churches as well, Power Life prophetic Ministries World-Wide, salvation, healing, forgiven and transformation of souls and lives took place as the Lord released His words to them by the Holy Spirit and through His servant. I also took time to share with some pastors about how they could incorporate sports ministry into their churches for effective Evangelism. Many respond positively and they were blessed. Also there was a Bible institute that invited me to come teach her students the complete materials of sports ministry from CSI, but we encountered problems related to the return of the missionaries from the US. They had trouble with their tickets and flight schedules so they were on stand-by for some days, but we praise the Lord that the issues were finally resolved. I met with our ISC mini region convener to discuss and plan ahead for CAN 2008 and our talk went well for His glory.

In August 2007. Challenges and prayers.

The 27th of the mentioned month I traveled to Accra Ghana again this time to meet with our mini region convener as we agreed in our last meeting to meet with different coaches and club owners. This is also part of the CAN 2008 preparation program. We had the meeting and I was able to meet with one team and train with them. I discussed with the coach of the team and they said they are interested in the Pre-Nation soccer evangelistic tournament whenever we are ready. I finally returned from Ghana last Saturday night by 11pm. I praise the Lord for it!
